Roadmap to Zero Programme

Chemicals to Zero - Progressive Update

Following recent discussions and feedback from the ZDHC community, we would like to inform you that the Signatories' review of the Chemicals to Zero-Progressive Framework has been extended until 28 November. The related webinar (4 Dec) has consequently been cancelled and will be rescheduled to take place after the framework is released.

The ZDHC Gateway changes, planned for 1 December, will go ahead as previously communicated. This means that existing Provisionally Progressive formulations on the ZDHC Gateway will remain unchanged, but no new assignments to Chemicals to Zero Provisionally Progressive will be allowed.

We appreciate your understanding and engagement as we work to ensure the Chemicals to Zero-Progressive Framework reflects the needs of our community. Thank you for your continued support and collaboration.

ZDHC Wastewater and Sludge Guidelines V2 Approved Laboratories Process

Following the publication of the ZDHC Wastewater and Sludge Guidelines V2 and the ZDHC Wastewater and Sludge Laboratory Sampling and Analysis Plan V3.0, all laboratories will soon be required to follow a new approval process.

Please note that the implementation of Wastewater and Sludge Guidelines V2 will begin in November 2026. Testing in accordance with the newly published guidelines will not be possible before November 2026.

Life Cascade Project Updates

Cascade (Closed-loop Water Systems in textile industrial districts) is an EU-funded initiative focused on developing advanced solutions to remove emerging pollutants from textile wastewater. Through partnership, ZDHC supports the project’s efforts to improve both prevention and treatment strategies, contributing to more sustainable water management in the textile sector.

Cascade showcased this project at two events this November: Ecomondo, a leading event on green and circular economy, and the ZDHC European Conference, where the project team engaged with industry stakeholders, brands, and technical experts to exchange insights and foster collaboration.
